Welcome

First of all, I would like to welcome everybody  to this Intermediate Level 1 Blog. This year I will try to help you in your learning process but remember: if you just come to school, sit down and listen, you won't make progress, so from now on don't be shy! When you are in class talk, give your opinion... (in English, of course). And outside class do your homework, watch TV programmes and films in English with or without subtitles, listen to the news, read newspapers, magazines and books adapted to your level, surf the Internet, if you know any native speaker talk to him/her in English... and of course, take advantage of this blog.

On the right-hand side bar you'll find the labels for the different posts, so you can choose the topic you're interested in (listening exercises, pronunciation, grammar...) or the unit you want to revise . You'll also find a long list of links to interesting websites.

COURSE ORGANIZATION

The Student's Book we will be using is English File Intermediate (third edition)  + Workbook (Oxford) . It is the student's responsibility to do the extra-activities in the Workbook as we will have no time to ckeck it in class.

The Grammar Book we recommend is English Grammar in Use by R. Murphy (Cambridge). This is not compulsory but it is a really good way to revise and consolidate your grammar and you may use it next year as well.

As you will be coming to class only once a week (on Tuesdays) you should check this blog weekly and learn/study autonomously since I will be telling you which activities you should do in every lesson. I will also provide you with extra-activities and links to improve the four skills.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: I think it is really important to remind you all at the very beginning of the course to check the contents and evaluation criteria for NI1 :
